Long negotiations by Electronic Arts with the International Football Federation (FIFA) did not lead to anything. The parties could not agree to extend the license to use a trademark - the giant giant refused to pay deductions of one billion dollars instead of 600 million, as it was before.
Since July next year, a series of football simulators will be called EA Sports FC.
_ “This new independent platform will provide new opportunities for innovation, creativity and development. This is much more than just a change in the symbol - like EA Sports, we strive to ensure that EA Sports FC is a symbol of change. We strive to meaningfully reinvest in sports, and we are glad to work with a large and growing number of partners in order to expand to new authentic impressions that bring joy, inclusiveness and immersion of the global community of fans. We are looking forward to the opportunity to share more information about these plans in the coming months ”_, said Electronic Arts.
