As you will remember, during the last ceremony of The Game Awards, Guillermo del Too, the award-winning Mexican filmmaker, made an act of presence. In addition to delivering a statue, the principal also noted that he would love to see a new game of silent hill. In this way, many thought that this was a track that pointed to the rumored title by Video Kolyma. However, of the bull has clarified these statements, and we do not have good news.
During an interview at the Podcast of Happy Sad Confused, Guillermo was questioned about the true meaning of herself. While many expected this to give rise to a new Silent Hill game with the bull involved in one way or another, the director pointed out that he was only expressing the wishes of him, and there is nothing official at the moment. This was what he commented:
Look, it's just one of those things in my life that does not make sense. But I just wanted to tickle INAMI a bit.
Together with this statement, of the bull spoke about how sad the cancellation of silent hills was, project in which he was involved, and pointed out that he does not intend to return to work on a video game:
I do not understand, [Silent Hills] was so perfect. The team, what we were going to do, was so exciting.
But Kolyma is a filmmaker. [...] I love talking with filmmakers and narrators. The game, as an exercise of storytelling, fascinates me. I would not develop a game again because I am the albatross of the video games. But I am very intrigued by the devices and how you learn them.
Unfortunately, it seems that, once again, the rumors of a new Silent Hill continue to come true. The only thing we have left is Slitter head, the new game of the creator of the INAMI Terror Series, and here you can learn more about this title.
Editor's note:
Guillermo del Too should continue participating in the video game industry. While the project of Silent Hills did not become a reality, the filmmaker clearly has a passion for the middle, he must only find the support of a developer or team that is willing to give an opportunity to filmmaker.
